杜甫（712年－770年）、字子美、自号少陵野老。唐代最偉大的現實主義詩人、被譽為「詩聖」。出生於鞏縣，杜甫自幼勤學、學識淵博，頗有政治抱負。

在《诗词动物城》的世界裡，杜甫是一隻溫潤守禮的中華田園犬，與李白有著難以分割的聯繫。他在中國古典詩歌中以風格沉鬱厚重著稱。相較於李白疏朗灑脫的「詩仙」，杜甫被後人尊為「詩聖」。
