幼年时和继母快乐玩耍的无忧无虑;
继母得知魔镜的答案后的雷霆盛怒;
被猎人饶过屠刀后丢在森林中的恐惧迷茫;
被七个小矮人围绕着的欢声笑语;
吞下毒苹果的窒息绝望;
当年的白雪公主,生母病故、继母嫉恨、父亲也不再庇护她,她失去了一切可以依靠的人或事,似僵尸般孑孓独行于这雪夜;

✨✨
The Queen Snow White tremblingly opened the palace basement door and stepped into this sealed-off place, untouched for fifty years.
The vast basement was dimly lit and utterly empty.
The light from a torch at the doorway pierced through the dust of the years, barely illuminating the only object in the darkness:
An old yet ornate mirror – the Magic Mirror, which once told her stepmother who was the fairest in the land.
But the title "fairest" had long since departed the Queen. Now she was merely an aged, weary monarch, like a candle flame in a storm. Nothing linked her to the peerless beauty of her youth except her regal title.
The Queen slowly approached the Magic Mirror and reached out to touch its dust-covered frame.
The Magic Mirror seemed to recognize her and grew restless. A blinding flash engulfed her, and she felt herself pulled from the basement into a thick fog.
Images flashed around her like scenes from a revolving lantern:
The carefree happiness of her childhood, playing joyfully with her stepmother;
Her stepmother’s furious rage upon hearing the mirror's answer;
The terror and confusion of being abandoned in the forest after the Huntsman spared Snow White;
The happy laughter surrounded by the Seven Dwarfs;
The suffocating despair of Snow White choking on the poisoned apple;
The Prince’s tender kiss, his grand wedding, Snow White becoming the happiest person in all the world.
But everyone knows happiness rarely lasts forever:
Her husband died young; the Seven Dwarfs, bound by the short lifespan of their kind, left the world one by one. And Snow White became Queen Snow White, her remaining life consumed by the burdens of ruling a kingdom...
Memories like a blizzard assailed the Queen’s mind. The Magic Mirror seemed intent on shattering her soul entirely.
Soon, the recollections faded. The dense fog enveloping her dispersed, and Queen Snow White found herself in a forest on a winter's night. Snowflakes drifted under a clear night sky as a young girl walked towards her.
The girl had messy black hair, skin as white as snow, and wore an elaborate, intricately decorated long dress, wandering aimlessly through the snowy night.
She knew this was Snow White – her younger self abandoned in the forest by the Huntsman.
Suddenly, she understood the Magic Mirror's purpose in bringing her back to this moment:
Back then, Snow White, her birth mother dead, hated by her stepmother, no longer shielded by her father, had lost everyone and everything she could rely on. She walked like a soulless ghost in this snow;
Now, Queen Snow White had lost her husband, lost her dear friends the dwarfs, even her enemies had turned to dust. At the end of her aged life, she was left with emptiness and confusion, like a mere shadow wandering...
Yes, Snow White had survived three brushes with death – taken in by the dwarfs, saved by the prince, crowned as queen. But when everything she gained turned to dust, the small figure walking the edge of death reflected in the mirror seemed the starkest truth of her life – she had finally returned to this walk in the snow.
The Queen found herself holding a plump, bright red apple. She gently placed it on the path the lost princess must take.
She remembered it vividly now – how Snow White had rejoiced upon finding that apple in the snow. Snow White ate it, and filled with the courage of one blessed by fate, walked on until she stumbled upon the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs...
Queen Snow White smiled. The thick fog rose once more.
"Farewell, Snow White."
PS:
Not sure if anyone read this far, but this really is the story I poured my heart into the most recently. The original name for this outfit set is "Snow White in the Mirror". That name naturally sparks a train of thought: the mirror from Snow White's tale – of course it's the Magic Mirror. But under what circumstances would Snow White ever look into the same mirror that caused her family tragedy?
She was kind-hearted and lived a happy, fulfilled life. Surely, she'd never seek out that mirror again, right? So quite naturally, I pictured the image of the aged Queen Snow White, with heavy steps nearing the end of her life, finally approaching the Magic Mirror. At that moment, how would she view the mirror? What question would she ask it?
That's when I began bouncing ideas off DeepSeek. After several rounds of discussion, the direction for this scene gradually crystallised: After all the additional colors of life fade away, the weathered Queen Snow White and the lost Snow White from that snowy night truly become one again.
This idea – nihilistic yet somehow, strangely comforting – gripped me. And so, I quickly wrote those words.
