Model description
The model I think is fairly self explanatory.
We did NOT expect that level of ░B░O░O░B░A░!░ within the LoRA of "[Nippon Ichi Software NIS (Takehito Harada)] Disgaea 1-7 Art Style Omnibus Style Illustrious"!
The Disgaea series (Disgaea 1–7) has maintained a consistent art style throughout its main entries, thanks to the long-term involvement of a few key individuals, particularly in character design and illustration.
🎨 Main Artist Involved in Disgaea 1–7
Takehito Harada (原田 たけひと)
Role: Lead Character Designer, Illustrator
Involved in: Disgaea 1 through 7 (and nearly all Nippon Ichi Software [NIS] titles)
Signature Style: Exaggerated anime proportions, bold colors, expressive faces, and unique silhouettes—essentially defining the “Disgaea look.”
Harada has been the primary visual identity of the franchise since its beginning.
🖌️ Other Artistic Contributors
While Harada was responsible for the main character designs and key art, other artists contributed in different capacities:
In-House Artists and UI/Map Designers (Uncredited/Publicly Less Known)
Many background artists, sprite animators, and UI designers have worked at Nippon Ichi Software internally and have rotated through projects. Most are not publicly credited individually, especially for sprite work and UI.
However, some specific Disgaea artbooks do contain rough names for sprite staff.
Pixel/Sprite Artists
Sprites are usually adaptations of Harada’s designs, done by NIS’s internal sprite/pixel art team.
Notable for switching to HD sprites starting with Disgaea 6 using 3D models instead of traditional pixel art.
📚 Supporting Material Credits
Artbooks like “Disgaea Art Collection” and “Disgaea D2 Complete Art Works” provide insight into Harada’s sketches and concept art.
The Disgaea 7 official artbook continues showcasing Harada’s work, while also reflecting modern trends in 3D implementation.
Works well at a strength of 1.
