Model description
Jean Grey of Earth-295, the dystopian reality known as the Age of Apocalypse, is a powerful mutant possessing exceptional telepathic and telekinetic abilities. First appearing in Marvel Comics' 1995 "Age of Apocalypse" crossover event, beginning with titles such as X-Men: Alpha #1, she emerges in a world where Charles Xavier's death allowed Apocalypse to conquer North America. Recruited by Magneto, who formed the X-Men in Xavier's honor, Jean became one of the team's earliest members after her parents sought Magneto's aid for her unstable and overwhelming powers. Marked by a distinctive blue angular facial tattoo from experiments conducted by Mister Sinister, she embodies resilience and determination amid genocidal oppression, distinguished by her short red hair, athletic build, and a costume featuring a cropped dark blue jacket, red crop top, and black pants.
During the resistance against Apocalypse's regime, Jean was captured by Prelate Cyclops (an alternate Scott Summers loyal to Apocalypse) and subjected to Sinister's genetic experiments, which included using her DNA combined with Cyclops' to create the omega-level mutant Nate Grey (later known as X-Man). Rescued by Weapon X (the alternate Wolverine), Jean formed a deep romantic bond with him, leading the pair to briefly depart the X-Men due to perceived abandonment during her captivity. She returned to play pivotal roles in key missions, including efforts to thwart Apocalypse's plans and warnings about impending nuclear strikes from human forces, showcasing her growing mastery over telekinesis on a massive scale.
In the storyline's climax, Jean heroically generated a vast telekinetic shield to protect the continent from nuclear devastation launched by the Human High Council, a sacrifice that cost her life in the original 1995 narrative when struck by a blast from Havok. Subsequent Marvel stories, including revisits in Uncanny X-Force and the 2012 Age of Apocalypse series, expanded the timeline to depict her survival, marriage to Wolverine, leadership in a post-Apocalypse world, and eventual absorption of celestial powers, including a Death Seed that transformed her into a being of immense corrupted potential while struggling to retain her humanity.
