Vileplume is inspired by the Rafflesia arnoldii, a real-world parasitic plant known for producing the world’s largest flower. The giant, vibrant bloom of the Rafflesia emits a strong odor of decaying flesh to attract pollinators like flies and beetles, earning it the nickname "corpse flower."
