Terri welcomes you to Schenkenburgh, the latest locale for Smoke_Room's LoRAs. A Great Lakes rustbelt town dominated by a 1963 brutalist urban renewal project that ran out of money in 1967, leaving massive poured-concrete structures grafting onto surviving Victorian row houses and red brick storefronts. It is always October, with blazing maple trees on the glacial esker called Ram Ridge, grey-blue lake water, and a dormant steel mill hulking on the shoreline. Home to Schenkel College and its football team, the Rams, the town moves to the rhythms of tailgates on the esker, dive bars with neon beer signs, and the long golden-hour shadows cast by concrete overhangs nobody ever finished.
