Mavka

Mavka is a forest nymph in Ukrainian mythology.

She represents the spirit of the forest and is its protector. Mavkas are depicted as young and beautiful girls with long green hair and eyes that shine like emeralds. They are dressed in green dresses woven from leaves and flowers.

They live in forests and groves where they dance, sing and play musical instruments. They love nature and protect it from harm. They can be both good and evil. They can help people who get lost in the forest, or vice versa, lure them into the thicket and kill them.

Mavkas are important characters in Ukrainian folklore. They represent the connection between humans and nature and remind us that we must preserve and protect forests and groves.
