A yukata is a garment similar to a Japanese kimono. In Japan, kimono is usually worn by Japanese in awe-inspiring settings or by professionals such as entertainers.
Yukata is mainly worn in the summer, and is often worn casually, as a uniform at hot spring inns, or by women who want to appeal to men.
However, yukata are not exclusively for women; some are for men.
