The checkpoint is capable of doing more realistic looking images as well more cartoony ones as well; it just depends on what style prompts you use. realistic is the prompt I used for most of the preview images, but you can also use stuff like cartoon, toon \(style\), anime screencap, etc.

Illustrious tends to be receptive to some Pony and SDXL LoRAs, so try out whatever you got and see if it works (I used a couple in these preview images).
