Half Clothes / Split Clothing / Clothing Cross-Section (Illustrious)

Details

Model description

This concept will generate clothing which covers only half of the usual surface. I'm not sure how to name it (if you have a better name, please comment).

Prompting

Use the main token asymmetrical clothes. Then specify the clothing in moderate detail, and then the layer below, (underwear/nude/...). Example (also see gallery):

asymmetrical clothes,
1girl,
dress, thighhighs, # clothing
blue bra, blue panties # layer below

This is an experimental LoRA, on its 5th major iteration, trained mainly on custom images (since I could only find 2 images which depict this concept). On dan, these two images are tagged with "cross-section", but this is not something Illustrious has picked up, of course (and if you use "cross-section", you will get x-ray insets). I found that "asymmetrical clothes" carries a more suitable bias.

I used a combination of block merging, resizing and rescaling to stabilize the concept while reducing style leakage. For this reason, some blocks are only weakly influencing the image (namely MID). If you use LBW, keep in mind that you may need large scales for these blocks to respond. Despite everything, this model comes with many limitations (many of which are due to training on mostly AI images):

  • There is still noticeable style bias and background bias (notice how the diversity of panties has collapsed)

  • Success varies. For some outfits, success rates are quite low

  • It doesn't work so well on characters with established outfits (e.g. vtubers and anime characters). It can help to increase the strength.
