Description

This LoRA model has been trained with Ai-Toolkit based on Ayami Kojima (小島 文美) artstyle on Flux1.D checkpoint. Obtained graphics arer a little off to the original art style (less sketchy, more minimatist), but the rendering results still really good, and give a unique style. This LoRA model could be use for anime/manga representations.

Artist biography

Ayami Kojima (小島 文美) , born on February 8, 1971, in Tokyo, Japan, is a celebrated Japanese artist and illustrator whose gothic, ethereal style has left a significant imprint on the world of video games and beyond. Raised with an appreciation for art, she studied at a fine arts college, where she honed her skills in traditional painting and drawing. This foundation heavily influenced her signature aesthetic, which blends delicate, detailed character designs with a dark, romantic atmosphere reminiscent of Baroque and Renaissance art, as well as Japanese ukiyo-e influences. Her work often features pale, androgynous figures adorned in elaborate, flowing garments, set against moody, atmospheric backgrounds.

Ayami Kojima rose to prominence through her collaboration with Konami on the Castlevania series, beginning with Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (2003) for the Game Boy Advance. Her artwork, marked by its intricate linework and somber elegance, became a defining element of the franchise’s visual identity during the early 2000s. She continued her contributions with Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (2005) and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (2006), both for the Nintendo DS, where her illustrations of characters like Soma Cruz and Dracula brought a haunting beauty to the gothic horror narrative. Unlike many game artists who transitioned to digital media, Kojima is known for her preference for traditional techniques, using watercolors, acrylics, and inks to create her pieces, which are later digitized for production.
