M46 Patton

The tank is armed with a 90mm cannon and is the first of the Patton series, named after General George S. Patton.

It is a tank with a more powerful engine than the M26 Pershing tank that appeared at the end of World War II. During the Korean War, it overwhelmed the North Korean and Chinese T34/85s with its firepower.

Incidentally, a vehicle captured during the Korean War was later provided to the Soviet Union for investigation, but it seems that it was not well received...

ジョージ・パットン将軍の名を冠するパットン・シリーズの原型となる90mm砲搭載の戦車です。

第二次大戦末期に登場したM26パーシングのエンジンをパワーアップした改良型となります。朝鮮戦争では北朝鮮軍、中国軍のT34/85を火力で圧倒しました。

ちなみに朝鮮戦争時に鹵獲された車輌が後日ソ連に提供され調査がなされましたが、
