Ten's Mom (Urusei Yatsura 1981)

Ten's mother is a female firefighter. She becomes obsessed with stopping fires, and even more so with punishing those who start them. This is difficult for Ten because he breathes fire. Even when he was a newborn, she would return home every day and tell him ten terrifying stories of her retaliation against fire starters. Ten developed a great fear of his mother after that. She is unaware of how Ten recklessly discharges his fire breath at the slightest frustration.

Included is her Matoi, a tool used during Japan's Edo period to alert others to the presence of a fire.
