One.WAN

I'm cherry picking simpler sets from my HunyuanVideo training materials. WAN seems to understand things more out of the box, making choosing a functional epoch a bit easier (this training run produced ~5 epochs that all seem to work really well... the more the merrier I guess!)
In this case I just chose the earliest stable epoch for optimal generalization.

Video has a workflow embedded in it. It took me what seemed like forever to find a good workflow to mimic what I was doing in HunyuanVideo, and the one attached here, "finalized" this morning, is very fast and very effective, using sage_attn and lightx2v (fastwan) for low step high quality results with a second Upscale pass using the model again and a third Upscale/Interpolation pass using upscalers and FilmVFI.

• I have Teacache in there too but it doesn't seem to play well with Lightx2v...

Training Notes

I'm not fully stable yet with my WAN process yet... I'm fighting OOM errors 9 times out of 10. I thought I found my max MegaFramePixels value for the WAND WAN LORA, but those settings didn't work for Cowgirl-Behind, I had to lower the resolution and frames a lot, then again for this one, the settings that worked for Cowgirl-Behind didn't work! It took me like 7 tries to get it running. Training initialization time is like 10 minutes and I'm a busy guy so this is really slowing. I assume I'll find a nice groove soon though, and I'm really happy with my new workflow (for testing and showcase material), so that's nice....

*HunyuanVideo did really well, even better I found, with lower resolutions and I took that for granted. The relevance is that unfortunately lots of my sets have clips with lower resolutions, making them poor material for this model. We'll see how this impacts things moving forward.

Three

Experimenting with multiple buckets for the same set of clips, some higher res for less frames and lower resolution for more frames to give the training a mix of quality, motion and of course the close-ups. 6e-5, Dropout 0.05, same clips as Two but not a lowresrun like Two was.

What annoys me a little bit is that some of my POC runs give me really functional LORAs. The difference in quality between the 2 hour runs and 10 hours runs is not huge... 🤔

Three was also the result of a side by side test I did between captions that included explicit wording regarding the penis/penetration and captions that completely omit these phrases. Ultimately it seems that omission does not give the best results, probably due to fewer weights being involved in reproducing the concept.

Keeps things real and flexible hitting the mark nicely in the majority of renders (especially in portrait). I've seen a few odd things pop up here and there so beware of feet with fingers and biracial women (top white, bottom black... like... why?!)
