Model description

🎨 Vania Zouravliov is a Russian-born illustrator celebrated for his hauntingly intricate and emotionally charged artwork. A child prodigy, he began drawing at a very young age using his mother’s art supplies and was exhibiting internationally by age 13.

📍 He studied at the Edinburgh College of Art and later settled in London, where he developed a distinctive style blending innocence, eroticism, brutality, and myth. His influences range from Dante’s Divine Comedy and Russian folklore to Japanese art and early Disney animation.

🖼️ Zouravliov’s work spans editorial illustrations, album covers (including Beck’s The Information), and comic art for publishers like Fantagraphics and Dark Horse. His pieces often evoke daguerreotype photography and are rich in symbolism, merging Eastern and Western aesthetics into surreal, dreamlike compositions.
