Daena from Legend of Mana

Daena is a monk-soldier who protects the temple at Gato Grottoes in Legend of Mana (1999). She’s a childhood friend of Matilda, Escad, and Irwin, with a strong protective attachment to Matilda. In the game’s Faerie storyline, Daena often acts as a mediator in the conflict surrounding those three, and the player can choose to side with her during key quests; depending on choices, either Daena or Escad can die. She’s typically depicted in the same anthropomorphic-cat style as the Gato nuns.
