๐ŸŽจ Michael Parkes is an American-born painter, sculptor, and master lithographer, widely recognized as a pioneer of Magic Realism. Born in 1944 in Sikeston, Missouri, he studied graphic art and painting at the University of Kansas before embarking on a spiritual journey to India that deeply influenced his artistic vision.

His work blends meticulous realism with mystical and fantastical themesโ€”featuring winged women, mythical beasts, and esoteric symbolism drawn from traditions like Tantrism and Kabbalah. Parkesโ€™ signature style is both technically refined and dreamlike, often described as โ€œrealism dusted with magicโ€.

Now living in Europe, he continues to create paintings, sculptures, and limited-edition lithographs that transport viewers into a world where beauty, mystery, and imagination reign supreme.
