He gained recognition through projects with major publishers like Marvel, DC Comics, and Image Comics, contributing to titles such as Ghost Rider 2099, Judge Dredd, and Spawn. His distinctive style blends oil painting with digital techniques, creating gritty, expressive visuals.

Wood is also known for his collaboration with Hideo Kojima on Metal Gear Solid digital comics and game cinematics. He co-founded 7174 PTY LTD, a creative studio producing content across comics, film, toys, and video games. Among his original creations are Popbot and World War Robot, both adapted for film development.
