Gao is a recurring character in the Marl Kingdom series, appearing in Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess (1999) and Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom (2000). She is a large, strong, and simple-minded girl who often contrasts with her friend Lan-Lan, with whom she is almost always seen. Despite her intimidating appearance, Gao is portrayed as kind, loyal, and childlike, providing both comic relief and warmth within the story.
