Best fluid dynamics I've gotten so far. Ultra-simple 2.1 setup for high quality filth.

2.2 isn't necessarily better.

Based on 2.1 I2V 720p 14Bbf16 using Lightx2v rank64 distillation.

All of the loras that I use for this particular high-velocity fluid simulation are in the stack and can easily and quickly be permutated for experimentation. Don't mess around with the seed. If you change it, keep track of the best ones. It's really, really important with this.

I have only gotten really good results with the full 720p model. On a 4090 81 frames at full 1280x 720 with sage should take around 300s. Distillation doesn't seem to affect output as badly as other scenarios. You can use a quantized text encoder if needed, that won't change too much. Or do whatever you want, I don't care. I upload my workflows like this when I get good results, in lieu of my missing embedded metadata. It's absurdly simple, and anyone who uses comfy should be able to build this blindfolded and naked. Well, naked is a given anyway. But the sliders are helpful. Save the stack as a template.

A note on setting up stacks for efficient use:

I recommend keeping a list of your loras in a spreadsheet. Keep those for xl,2.1,2.2 etc. in separate folders and rename with sensible prefixes and suffixes containing all the info that you wish you could remember. When you configure your template stacks it's sometimes easier to edit your .json directly. Open it up as plaintext and find the stack ID (in this wf it is #254). There are a couple of sections setting all of the widget variables, model/clip strengths, etc. You want to modify "widgets_values", an example of which I've pasted below.

All you need do is replace the name of the safetensors. Since you've got an organized reference in your spreadsheet you can easily copy and paste whatever you like, and quickly.

Bear in mind that this particular stack is set to hold 10 safetensors. If you want to change the total number in the stack you have to modify other sections, which gets annoying, so probably best to change the number widget in comfy and save, then go back to manual editing. Same goes for extra sliders. Do that in comfy, renaming those is just a double click, easy.

Doing a little organization and prepwork will save you TONS of time. This stuff gets out of hand in the blink of an eye if you just keep downloading and copying blindly. If you haven't discovered this yet, I promise you, you will. Hope this helps.
