Julian Jordanov – Bulgarian Printmaker

Julian Jordanov is a Bulgarian artist born in 1965 in Lovech. He specializes in graphic arts and ex libris prints, working primarily with etching, aquatint, and lithography. His style blends surrealism and symbolism, marked by meticulous detail and poetic imagery.

He graduated from the Ilia Petrov Art School in Sofia in 1986 and earned his MFA in Graphics from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia in 1995, studying under Prof. Petar Chuklev. Jordanov has held over 40 solo exhibitions across Europe and Asia and participated in more than 55 international graphic art forums and biennials.

Highly regarded among ex libris collectors worldwide, he has received over 20 awards, including first prizes in Ankara (2003) and Beijing (2008), and was named “Artist of the Decade 2008–2018” by Largo Art Gallery. He lives and works in Sofia.
