Model description

I’ve been doing a deep dive on the RES4LYF samplers lately. The use of unsampling/hybrid samplers and sigma range controls are super interesting, and I haven’t seen much talk about them, so I figured I’d share. These are v2v repaints with no ControlNet or VACE. Warning these take some time to run but it gives you a lot of control.

I’m still figuring it all out, but here’s the gist. In the workflow the unsampler node “ducks” any noise above 0.6 during unsampling, keeping the base structure of the noise in all the frames. You can push that up to around 0.875, but it gets a bit seed-dependent. After that, I resample with my new prompt.

The cool part is what the hybrid samplers do.

AbNorsett seems to on higher level noise, help with killing, jittery trees in panning/arcing cameras, you can lose details in faces

PEC is more for finer detail but seems pretty balanced across the scheduler scale. it cleans up texture and color transitions without killing detail.

Lawson I have figured out yet its lighting and vibrance supposedly but its trickier to figure out.

I haven't setup my own yet but I assume you this could be setup like a post production studio. stability, relighting, and refining details.

Last thing, You can also clean up alot of noise or sparkles when using Wan2 in the shift 2-3 range by switching schedulers from unsampling to resampling it can reduce noise without changing the structure of the video each video is a little different but sometimes it is worth it to get something out of a video that that is really good otherwise.
