もともと”ゲーム”というのは追従するハードを考慮に入れると、ひどく寿命の短いメディアです。PC、OSの進化に併せて30年ソフトを作り続けたというのが、もう既に大したことだと思います。
戯画で約30年活動されていましたが、つまりは30歳で会社を起こした人ならボチボチ引退を考える時期にかかっているということです。
引退を考えた時に新人がいない、会社存続させる意味に乏しい、となると解散も視野に入ってくるでしょう。
おそらくこうした会社がエロゲ業界にはたくさんあるのではないでしょうか。
一方で存続を選んだ（のだろう）会社も少なからず耳に入ってきます。
デジタルノベルという分野の裾野には、おそらくエロゲという下地が必要ですし、個人的にはなんとか頑張ってほしいものです。
のっけから暗い話になりましたが、『この青空に約束を—』本編は明るいムードが漂う物語です。
1年後に解散が決定しているコミュニティの話なので暗くなりそうなものなのですが、丸戸さんの文章もあわさって見事に陽性に引っ張り上げてくれます。
この巧みさは、”数年後に解散が決定している学校生活”と同じ、コミュニティの存在をそのレベルまで引き上げているからでしょう。
今回、記憶の裏付けを取るためにウィキをいつもより熱心に読んだのですが、そういえばアニメ化もされていたんですね。
完全にスルーしていたので試しにオンデマンドで観てみたのですが、お好きな方はお好きなんだろうと思います。私にはちょっと合わず開始５分で停止しました。
ただこれ、丁寧に作ればもっと面白くなるはずです。
アニメ制作会社も「転生したら◯◯」とか「異世界◯◯」といったタイトルの、出がらしで、ただのお湯みたいな原作を使うんだったら、いいシナリオゴロゴロしてるのにね。（もちろんこの手のタイトルに面白いものも一杯あります）
戯画のように著作権財産が（おそらく）宙ぶらりんになっているのだったら、出版社ごと巻き込めば話が早いし、間違いなく良質のシナリオがゴロッと発掘できます。
まぁ素人が５分で思いつくようなビジネスケースを放って置くほど出版社もボンクラ雇ってないでしょうし、なにか手はうっていると思います。
近い将来、名作が発掘され新たな展開を迎えることを祈りつつ、今回はここまで。
