Juanjo Guarnido is a Spanish comic book artist born in 1967 in Granada, renowned for his exceptional draftsmanship and cinematic visual storytelling. Before entering comics, he worked as an animator at Disney Studios on films like Tarzan and Lilo & Stitch. Guarnido achieved international acclaim with Blacksad (2000-present), a noir detective series featuring anthropomorphic animals, co-created with writer Juan Díaz Canales.
