Liopleurodon / Kronosaurus (Pliosauroidea)

Details

Model description

Members of the Pliosauridae family were characterized by large, robust bodies, enormous heads, and powerful jaws capable of exerting crushing force; they were true sea monsters. Estimates suggest lengths of 7 to 10 meters, with individuals of some species, such as Kronosaurus, exceeding 13 meters, with a massive skull that reached almost 2.5 meters, full of long, conical teeth designed to grasp slippery prey such as fish, ichthyosaurs, and other marine reptiles. They dominated the Jurassic seas around the world, from Europe to South America.
