Kazushi Hagiwara (萩原一至) is a Japanese manga artist born on April 4, 1963, in Nakano, Tokyo, Japan. He is best known as the creator of the dark fantasy manga series Bastard!!, which began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1988. Hagiwara's distinctive art style combines heavy metal aesthetics with fantasy elements. He also worked on Bakuen Campus Guardress (1994). Despite Bastard!!'s popularity and influence on the fantasy manga genre, the series has experienced extended hiatuses throughout its publication history, though it remains a cult classic among fans.
