PanelPainter - Manga Coloring

Update – 16/11/2025 - V2.0 Release

Complete training overhaul. It now colors panels properly compared to the V1 helper LoRA. Still not perfect, but noticeably improved. More details will be updated soon.

PanelPainter is an experimental helper LoRA designed to assist with manga and doujin colorization when using Qwen Image Edit Plus / 2509 models. It’s not a standalone LoRA — for the best results, pair it with Qwen-Rapid-AIO-NSFW-v8.safetensors.

This version was trained for about 7,000 steps on a dataset of 7,500 colored doujin (NSFW) panels from nhentai, focusing on maintaining clean line art and achieving smooth, flat anime-style colors. Because the dataset primarily contained NSFW material, color behavior on regular or action manga panels may differ slightly from its intended use case.

Note: This is an experimental LoRA, meant as a supporting model rather than a full standalone colorizer. It performs best when integrated into the Qwen Image Edit Plus 2509 AIO or combined with Snof / Meta LoRAs for coloring.
