Tetsuya Saruwatari is a Japanese manga artist primarily known for creating hyper-violent, action-focused martial arts series. His work is characterized by highly detailed, aggressive depictions of male fighters and an unflinching focus on brutal, anatomically precise combat. His most internationally recognized work is Riki-Oh (The Story of Riki), a hugely influential, hyper-gory sci-fi martial arts manga that was adapted into a famous live-action film.
