Goseki Kojima (1928–2000) was a legendary Japanese manga artist and a master of the gekiga (dramatic pictures) style. He is internationally celebrated for his iconic collaboration with writer Kazuo Koike on the hugely influential series Lone Wolf and Cub (Kozure Ōkami), which defined the samurai genre for a generation.
Kojima’s signature art style is characterized by its powerful, sweeping brushwork, stark black-and-white contrast, and stunningly dynamic action.
