Model description

Angela, whose full name is Aldrif Odinsdottir, originated as an angelic bounty hunter created by Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane, first appearing in Image Comics' Spawn #9 (March 1993). Following a legal dispute resolved in 2012, Gaiman gained ownership and sold the rights to Marvel Comics. She debuted in the Marvel Universe in Age of Ultron #10 (June 2013), initially as a mysterious warrior pulled from another dimension. In the 2014 "Original Sin" storyline, her origin was retconned to reveal her as the long-lost daughter of Odin and Freyja, kidnapped as an infant by the Queen of Heven (the Tenth Realm) during a war with Asgard, presumed dead but raised as Angela, Heven's greatest hunter.

Upon discovering her true heritage, Angela confronted her family, initially rejecting Odin while forming complex bonds with Thor as her brother. She joined the Guardians of the Galaxy, participated in cosmic adventures, and starred in solo titles like Angela: Asgard's Assassin (2014–2015) and Angela: Queen of Hel (2015–2016), where she ruled Hel temporarily. Notable relationships include a romantic partnership with Sera, an Anchorite angel, highlighting her queer identity. She later served with teams such as Asgardians of the Galaxy and the black-ops group Strikeforce alongside Blade.

As of late 2025, Angela continues to appear in titles like Immortal Thor and Doctor Strange (2025 ongoing), exploring Asgardian conflicts and magical threats, while gaining prominence in adaptations such as the video game Marvel Rivals (Season 4, 2025), where she is portrayed as a powerful Vanguard hero. She remains a fierce, independent warrior blending Asgardian divinity with her hunter upbringing, often navigating themes of identity, exile, and loyalty across the Marvel cosmos.
