Model description

Hank Hall, known as Hawk, is a fictional superhero and later anti-hero in the DC Comics universe, created by Steve Ditko and Steve Skeates. He first appeared in Showcase #75 (June 1968) as part of the Hawk and Dove duo alongside his brother Don Hall, who embodied Dove. The brothers, sons of a judge targeted by criminals, gained superhuman abilities from mystical voices—later revealed as the Lords of Chaos and Order—transforming into avatars of war and peace, respectively. Hank, representing chaos, possessed enhanced strength, durability, agility, and a danger-sense transformation, characterized by his aggressive, hot-headed personality that contrasted with Don's pacifist approach.

Following sporadic appearances in Teen Titans and their own short-lived series, a pivotal development occurred during Crisis on Infinite Earths (1986), where Don Hall was killed by shadow demons while saving a child, leaving Hank unstable and increasingly violent. He briefly operated solo before partnering with Dawn Granger, the new Dove, introduced in a 1988 miniseries. This duo, empowered by the same Lords, fought crime in Washington, D.C., with enhanced abilities, appearing in an ongoing series and joining teams like the Titans, where Hank's militant tendencies often required Dove's calming influence.

Hank's trajectory shifted dramatically in Armageddon 2001 (1991), where he succumbed to rage, murdered Dawn, and assumed the identity of the tyrannical Monarch, later evolving into the chronokinetic villain Extant during Zero Hour: Crisis in Time! (1994), allying with Parallax to reshape reality before his apparent death. Resurrected as a Black Lantern in Blackest Night (2009), he attacked successors but was redeemed by white light energy. In subsequent stories like Brightest Day (2010–2011), Hank reformed the partnership with Dawn, joined the Birds of Prey, and sought redemption, though his chaotic nature persisted amid cosmic trials and influences from the Lords of Chaos.
