In this storyline, Red Claw infiltrates Gotham City under the guise of a legitimate enterprise, Multigon International, to acquire a deadly plague virus, intending to blackmail the city with the threat of unleashing it unless a massive ransom is paid. Her plans bring her into direct conflict with Batman and Catwoman, the latter inadvertently discovering her operations while advocating for wildlife preservation.

Characterized as a formidable and ruthless antagonist, Red Claw is an expert martial artist capable of engaging Batman in intense hand-to-hand combat, complemented by her exceptional tactical acumen and leadership skills. Red Claw returned in the later episode "The Lion and the Unicorn" (1995), where she orchestrated the kidnapping of Alfred Pennyworth and another former agent to extract codes for a missile system, aiming to extort the British government. Following her animated appearances, with her ultimate fate left unresolved, the character was adapted into mainline DC Comics continuity, marking her official debut in Catwoman #43 (2022) as an international mercenary and adversary, further integrating her into the broader Batman lore.
