モデル説明
Space Beth, a cybernetically enhanced variant of Beth Smith, originates from the events depicted in the Season 3 episode "The ABC's of Beth" (2017), where Rick Sanchez offers to clone Beth to allow one version to pursue adventures in space while the other remains with the family; however, her first full appearance occurs in the Season 4 finale, "Star Mort Rickturn of the Jerri" (2020). Voiced by Sarah Chalke, she is visually distinguished from her Earth counterpart by a scar over her right eye, a partially shaved head with a blue streak, cybernetic armor, and functional implants, including a phase-shift device. As either the original Beth or an indistinguishable clone—due to Rick deliberately obscuring the truth—she embodies the adventurous path Beth contemplated, having spent years in space as a rebel leader against the Galactic Federation remnants.
Space Beth exhibits a personality markedly influenced by her interstellar experiences, displaying ambition, ruthlessness, and traits reminiscent of Rick, including vengefulness toward him for the cloning deception and a propensity for self-serving decisions. Upon returning to Earth, she initially seeks to eliminate Rick and the domestic Beth, driven by implanted kill directives and identity confusion, but relents upon learning of the mutual manipulations. Her actions reveal resourcefulness in combat, leadership within The Defiance vigilante group, and a complex blend of resentment and familial longing, as she integrates into the Smith household while maintaining her outlaw status.
Over subsequent seasons, Space Beth undergoes notable evolution, transitioning from an antagonistic outsider to a recurring family member with deepening bonds. She participates in rescues, relocations across dimensions, and shared adventures, while exploring personal dynamics, such as a romantic affair with Earth Beth in Season 6's "Bethic Twinstinct" and reconciliations amid jealousy from Summer. Later appearances in Seasons 7 and 8 further highlight her protective instincts, childhood sociopathic echoes when de-aged, and strengthening ties with Rick, solidifying her role as a multifaceted, action-oriented counterpart who enriches the series' exploration of identity and family.
