モデルは『昔の猟師さん』です。
ご存じの方も多いと思いますが、職業的に刺青を入れた方々がいらっしゃいます。
元は江戸時代まで遡らなければなりませんが、特に有名なのは飛脚・火消し・漁師。
これら職業についていた方は結構な比率で刺青を入れていたそうです。

例えば飛脚、現在でいえば広くは運送業が近いでしょうか。
一日に30ｋｍ～50ｋｍ。
未舗装路を季節関わりなく運搬しますから、特に夏場はフンドシ一丁で駆け抜けたそうです。
刺青をいれた理由の一つはこの格好で、裸同然の姿に見苦しさを感じ、そこで刺青を彫った肌を衣服に見立てた、ということです。
