Tora Olafsdotter, known as Ice, is a superheroine in DC Comics renowned for her cryokinetic abilities and Norwegian origins. She first appeared in Justice League International #12 (April 1988), created by writers Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis with artist Kevin Maguire. As the princess of a reclusive tribe of magical Norsemen possessing innate ice-manipulating powers, Tora left her isolated homeland to explore the wider world and use her abilities for good. Her powers enable her to generate and control ice, create constructs such as shields or projectiles, induce freezing temperatures, and manifest icy forms, establishing her as a formidable metahuman despite her gentle and reserved demeanor.

Ice initially joined the Global Guardians briefly before becoming a founding member of the Justice League International, where she adopted her enduring alias to distinguish herself from the original Icemaiden.
