BatGal from Shantae

BatGal from the video game Shantae (2002) are recurring humanoid bat-type enemies that appear in multiple entries throughout the Shantae series, first encountered in the original Shantae game at locations like Cackle Mound and later returning in titles such as Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse and Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. They have a humanoid shape with bat-like features, often shown wearing armor or leather attire with helmets that have wing-like protrusions, tails, and the ability to transform into flying bats when attacked. In gameplay they act as enemy combatants, attacking with chained weapons such as flails or whips and in some cases serving as mini-boss obstacles within stages. BatGals blend elements of classic monster design with the series’ vibrant fantasy world and contribute to the variety of foes the player encounters.
