Does it seem odd to anyone else on the sphere of star trek commentary. I wonder if anyone really ever watches the show, because I've seen even politicians comment that the series is woke now, and it's the most bizarre thing to me. Star Trek has always been a progressive series, and pushed boundaries and even went above and beyond in crossing taboos with the first televised interracial kiss.

I've noticed in general people talk about a golden age of the past that never existed in media, at least not how they pretend to remember it. I've not watched much Star Trek so I can't comment on it fully, but it's manifestly observable that the series was about a brighter future where petty squabbles like the ones these people try to push us into doesn't exist; Other than with like, the Romulans and the bizarre society of the big ear people where women aren't allowed to wear clothes and they love money; Where money doesn't have any value.

I dunno, I mean, at this point I'm convinced nobody plays videogames, and it wouldn't really surprise me if people didn't watch movies or TV shows either.

It's kind of a mystery what people actually do in their lives, because it doesn't seem like anyone does anything, they're just a symbolic legwound on the internet, a human clavicle fracture of a person.
