Seraphina de Lavillant is the main character of the Japanese manga and anime series "The Princess Knight, the Barbarian's Bride" (Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome). She is a knight of royal blood who led a troop on a campaign against the northern tribes, but was defeated and captured.

Seraphina is the eldest daughter of the late Marquis Matthias de Lavillant and Theresia de Lavillant. At 26 years old, she became the first knight of the kingdom of Ill-Doren and served as the Knight-Commander of the 17th Expeditionary Force.

She led a war against Ill-Doren's sworn enemy, the village of Cordem (the homeland of the so-called "barbarians"). However, she and her forces were defeated and captured by the village's heir, Veor. Serafina expected torture, but instead, Veor offered to marry her to end the war between the nations.
