モデル説明
Mercedes "Misty" Knight is a fictional character in Marvel Comics, created by Tony Isabella and Arvell Jones. She was first mentioned in Marvel Premiere #20 (January 1975) and made her full visual appearance in the subsequent issue, Marvel Premiere #21 (March 1975), initially as a supporting character in Iron Fist's narratives. A highly decorated New York City Police Department officer who graduated with honors from the police academy, Knight advanced to detective and served on the bomb squad. Her life changed irrevocably during a confrontation with terrorists, where she thwarted a bombing at the cost of her right arm, which was amputated following the explosion. In recognition of her heroism, Tony Stark provided her with a sophisticated bionic prosthetic arm, initially constructed of steel and later upgraded with advanced features, endowing her with superhuman strength and additional capabilities.
After resigning from the NYPD due to her injury, Misty Knight pursued a career as a private investigator, forming a close partnership with her friend Colleen Wing, a proficient martial artist and samurai. The duo established Nightwing Restorations Ltd., a bail bonds and detective agency, and earned the moniker Daughters of the Dragon through their collaborative exploits. Knight frequently allied with street-level vigilantes, particularly Iron Fist (Danny Rand) and Luke Cage, playing a pivotal role in the establishment and various reformations of the Heroes for Hire organization. Her exceptional skills in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and investigative techniques positioned her as a key figure in combating organized crime and superhuman adversaries.
Over the decades, Misty Knight's character has undergone notable developments, including a enduring romantic relationship with Iron Fist that involved cohabitation, a marriage proposal, and eventual separation following the revelation of an illusory pregnancy induced by his powers. She later formed romantic connections with other heroes, such as Sam Wilson (Falcon and formerly Captain America). Knight has led initiatives such as reformed Heroes for Hire teams during events like the Superhuman Registration Act and participated in major storylines including Civil War, World War Hulk, Shadowland, and the Fearless Defenders, where she co-led the Valkyrior. Her evolution reflects a transition from supportive roles to independent leadership, consistently emphasizing her dedication to justice and protection of the underserved.
