Model description

Starfire, whose real name is Princess Koriand'r of the planet Tamaran, first appeared in DC Comics Presents #26 in October 1980, created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez. Introduced as an alien princess exiled from her homeworld, she possesses superhuman strength, flight, and the ability to absorb ultraviolet radiation to project powerful energy blasts known as starbolts. Her origin involves betrayal by her older sister Komand'r (Blackfire), who, driven by jealousy, orchestrated a coup and sold Koriand'r into slavery to the Citadel; subsequent experimentation by the Psions granted her enhanced powers, enabling her escape to Earth, where she joined the newly formed Teen Titans alongside Robin, Raven, Cyborg, and others.

As a core member of the Teen Titans during the acclaimed New Teen Titans series in the 1980s, Starfire developed into a compassionate yet fierce warrior, often serving as the team's emotional center with her optimistic outlook contrasting Earth's customs. Her long-term romantic relationship with Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing) became a defining aspect of her character, marked by cultural misunderstandings and deep affection, while recurring conflicts with Blackfire highlighted themes of family betrayal and redemption. Over the decades, she experienced significant trials, including the destruction of Tamaran, a politically arranged marriage, and periods of leadership within various Titans iterations, evolving from a naive exile to a mature hero who balanced her alien heritage with earthly bonds.

In subsequent reboots, such as The New 52 and later continuities, Starfire has been portrayed with varying degrees of independence, including stints with teams like the Outlaws and the Justice League, while occasionally leading the Titans or mentoring younger heroes. Her character has consistently emphasized resilience, emotional openness, and cultural adaptation, making her an enduring symbol of strength amid adversity in the DC Universe. As of recent developments, she remains an active figure associated with the Titans, reflecting her foundational role in the team's legacy.
